I am grateful for innocence and lemonade stands.
Today was a really good day (:
The weather outside was PERFECT, and the day was super chill.
The weather outside was PERFECT, and the day was super chill.
I didn't feel right wasting this perfect day away by working, so I faked being sick [KNOWING I'D MAKE UP MY HOURS ON THURSDAY ANYWAY] and ditched. :D
I went to the beach for 3 hours and then did laundry, went to the bank and the store, went running, hung out with friends. and read. It was super productive (:
Anyway, while I was running, I ran past a Lemonade Stand. These 4 girls were selling lemonade for 25 cents a cup! And these weren't small cups either! Good deal. They were also selling silly bands for 10 cents each, and if you bought more than 5, they lowered the price to 5 cents each!!! WHAT A DEAL!!! I know that I'm 18 years old, but I LOVE SILLY BANDS!
Right before Silly Bands became popular, we had them at Sweet and Sassy's, but all of us
workers were like "What the heck are these? Shaped rubber bands? This is stupid. No one is going to buy this." Boy were we wrong! They sold out like CRAZYYY! And then I fell in love with them (:
I fell even more in love with them when I would trade them with little kids, I love getting a kick out of trading with them. "I'll give you a green dinosaur for a pink heart!" "Trade with me! Trade with me!" Ooohhh little kids (:
Anyway, so I stopped and looked through their tupperware box of silly bands. While I was looking through the silly bands, one of the little girls told me that they were trying to save up money to Save the Pandas, because they are in danger of extinction. AWWWWWWWWW! I remember when I was little and thought I could save the world! So of I decided
on 6 silly bands and bought some lemonade. I even gave them a little extra dollar, and went on my way. Made me recall my days as a youth trying to sell Kool-Aid on the side of the street. (:
I'm grateful for lemonade stands.
