Safety

Gratitude 4/3-
I am grateful for Safety. Both spiritual and physical safety.

Today was an amazing day. Today was 181st Annual General Conference for The Church of
Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Which means, saints all over the world got to hear the loving words of advice an wisdom from our living prophets and apostles. These talks were amazing and JUST what I needed to hear. I didn't get to watch all the sessions, I didn't even get to watch all of the first session but that's okay, I did finish it later! But not the second half... yet. Anyway, it just gave me this awesome sense of safety to know that our prophets are still inspired today by our Heavenly Father.
Which brings to my second half, I am grateful for physical safety as well. I live in a predominant LDS community so it's pretty safe. But it's still scary to walk around the neighborhood at night by yourself. So I went to dinner at a friends' house, and I was walking home around 10pm. I
didn't really think about it at first, McKae's house isn't too far from campus. So I was walking and then I got this weird/scared feeling. So I started walking faster and called Anthea so I wasn't all alone, then this girl named Abby [who was in my English class during fall semester] rode past me on her bicycle, stopped, turned around and asked me if I was walking back to campus. I told her yes, and she got off her bike and said, "I'll walk with you.(: " As soon as she said that, the feeling went away. She walked me back all the way to campus. It was so nice of her! We talked all about how she might transfer to BYU Provo and our classes for this semester. It was so nice.

So I am grateful for safety.
