I was inspired by this book I started reading over at my friends house called 1400 Things to Be Happy About by Barbara Ann Kipfer, and I've been hearing "Keep a Gratitude Journal" in like all my Sunday lessons and even in some devotionals [IF THEY AREN'T ABOUT MARRIAGE], so I decided, why not?
So here goes.
I started this Monday, March 21st, 2011
I am grateful for Encouragement while running.
I have a love/hate relationship with running. I love running because it gets out my stress and I like staying in shape. I hate running because it just takes so much effort and I get sore after wards. I can't run more than a mile on a treadmill because I get so bored so I have to run outside but I hate running alone, which is why I don't go that often. But I found a friend who is training for a half marathon and I was like well, I can run with her on her easy days! So Monday, I ran two of the four miles she ran. I haven't ran in like 2 months, so I didn't think it was smart to run four miles, so I just ran two (:
Anyway, she just kept telling me how good I was and to keep going, surprisingly, I didn't struggle at all. I kept up to her and it wasn't even hard. We kept an easy even pace -not too fast, not too slow- it was way nice. Some times I wanted to stop, just to stop. But she just kept encouraging me and I didn't stop at ALL! I ran allll the way to wherever we were going AND BACK which ended up being about two miles. So I'm grateful for encouragement while running. (:
